Error in parametric sweep simulation

Hi,

I'm trying to run a joule heating simulation on a wire that is on a sapphire substrate. The wire has a hot spot in the middle and current is flowing threw it. My idea is to determine how long takes the system to thermally relax. I'm running a parametric sweep changing the thick of the wire, but when I compute the solution I get this error message:

Error in sweep: The following feature has encoutered a problem:

The following feature has encoutered a problem:
Extrude requires distances to be distinct.
Error in multiphysics compilation.
-Feature: Compile equations: Time dependent (sol1/st1)
-Error:Extrude requires distances to be distinct.

I've checked the busbar example in the tutorials and I can't find any differences between the example and my simulation.

I'm attaching the file I'm using

Thanks

Emanuel

Re: Error in parametric sweep simulation

It sounds like your parameter change must have also effected the geometry or mesh in a manner that does not allow the embedded extrude to complete. Extrude will only occur in a geometry or mesh portion of the tree. You should be able to see the error in down the model tree. Look under geometry and/or mesh to find it.

Re: Error in parametric sweep simulation

Hi, thanks for the aswer

you were right mi problem is that the mesh gets coarser while my parametrer was changing. I manually adjusted the element size and the problem got solved.

Regards,
Emanuel
