Eigenfrequency of capillary liquid bridges
Hello,
I would like to compute the eigenfrecuency of a capillary bridge.
In Comol 3.5a I used the Navier-Stokes equations in combination with the level set method for the implementation of surface tension effects. Starting with a cylindrical shape the time dependent calculation completed successfully until near equilibrium .
Unfortunately it does not seem possible to use an eigenfrequency analysis with that physical problem, because it is only available for structural mechanics or acoustic problems.? I tried to change the type of solver to "eigenfrequency", but still the solutions are not useful; e.g. the eigenfrequencies and the volume fractions become negative in some cases.
[2 files are attached for description]
My question: Is there any possibility to get the eigenfrequencies of a capillary bridge, where surface tension is included as a dominant physical effect?
I need to include the Navier-Stokes equations as well as the mean curvature of the (actual deformed) surface geometry for the physical treatment. Comsol 4.0a is also available.
Thank you very much for your time.
Patrick
