Introduction and Live Demo

Modeling has never been easier - or more powerful- than what
COMSOL Multiphysics offers you today. This demo shows you why.
Your COMSOL Multiphysics modeling guide will lead you through
the work flow, and within minutes, bring designs to life with
multiphysics simulations. Applications include fluid-structural
interactions, thermal expansion, electromagnetic-structural
interactions, and more.
Hands-on Session
Explore the work-flow with COMSOL Multiphysics from a CAD geometry to a scuccessful simulation. Guided by our experts you build your first simulation step-by-step and visualize physical processes. Inspired by your own excercises you can also discuss your particular modeling requirements idividually with our Multiphysics coaches.
Speakers

Dr. Sven Friedel
FEMLAB GmbH, Zurich
Dr. Sven Friedel is a physicist and earned his Ph.D. at the University of Leipzig (Germany) in geophysics, specializing in tomographic imaging processes; he also taught courses in, among other things, geomagnetics.
For his research he focused on the simulation of electrical, fluidic, and thermal processes in volcanoes. After several years working as a postdoctoral researcher in the area of geotechnical engineering at the ETH in Zurich, in 2004 Dr. Friedel established COMSOL AB's branch office in Switzerland under the name FEMLAB GmbH. |

Dr. Thierry Luthy
FEMLAB GmbH, Zurich
Physicist Dr. Thierry Luthy first studied at the University of Neuchâtel in the field of superconducting materials. He then worked for two years at EMPA in various research areas, for example, the nondestructive testing of high-technology ceramics. In 2003 he completed his Ph.D. dissertation at the ETH Zürich in the field of composite materials. Since March 2006 Dr. Luthy has worked at the Zürich office of COMSOL. |
