Problem with meshing by considering an outer region

I designed a machine in comsol 3.5a and it has 146000 numbers of elements which is appropriate by considering the type of PC that I have. But when I add a casing or region to this machine it doesn’t mesh; however, it meshes by changing maximum element size to 8 million which is too much and unacceptable. Please tell me what can I do?

Regards,

Hi

check your mesh carefully, you have probably some small elements being created by the intersection of some of your lager parts.
You need a "clean" geoemtry with geometrical objects really adjacent, without small gaps and small details that have no physical interest

Good luck
