I am planing to get a high performance computer for Comsol simulation which involves ALE - algorithm to track the particle motion in a closed channel. I will also be doing 3D - simulations to optimize membranes for micro filtration
As my budget is limited. I am looking for a system having a configuration as follows
Intel i7 990x ( 6 cores ) or ( I can get two quad cores in my budget)
12 GB RAM
Hard- disk 1T
how good is this for the above simulations?
