Dear all,

I would like to plot an isosurface which is perpendicular to a given vectorfield in 3D. Can anyone help?

Thanks
Ysbrand

Hi Ysbrand,

I think, if you plot your vector field (let's say electric field Ex, Ey, Ez) as volume arrow, than your isosurface from norm.E should be perpendicular.

Hi Ralf,

Thanks. I will try that and come back to you with the results ...

Dear Ralf,

At some points it seems to work but not all vectors are perpendicular to the surface ... see fig. (vectors have been normalized to show the direction more clearly). Thanks a lot for the suggestion though.
