mesh element reduction

The biggest issue I keep running into are long computation times. I have found that this is mostly due to the large number of mesh elements in my device. My question is what are some ways to reduce the number of mesh elements in order to speed up the computation time.

Hi

your mesh should ebe fine enough to correctly resolve all gradients of all dependent variables, and to represent truely the geoemtry you have. f your cad has many holes and small details the mesh tend to be overcrowded from these "small" items but then is often too dense.

In COMSOL you have control on all mesh parameters, up to you to make the mesh coarser, but still to check that the results are coherehnt.
