This fix addresses the following:
- Everything that you have selected on the Output tab and Solve For tab in the Solver Manager remains selected when you save a model before solving it.
- Models with long Model M-file histories open faster
- The COMSOL Multiphysics user interface responds as expected when you use arrow keys to navigate in tables
- Minor changes in the "Water, Liquid" entry in Materials/Coefficients Library 1 to get expected density behavior
The fix also includes several minor improvements for COMSOL Reaction Engineering Lab.
Installation
Before you begin, make sure that you run COMSOL version 3.2.0.300. This is the only version that can be updated with this fix. On the Help menu, click "About COMSOL Multiphysics" to check your version.
PC Installation Instructions
Download the self-extracting executable file comsol32a_hotfix1.exe. Close all
instances of COMSOL Multiphysics and MATLAB before you begin the
installation process. Run the executable and unpack the files to your COMSOL
installation directory, for example, C:\COMSOL32a. This is the directory where
the file licenseinfo.ini and the directories multiphysics and doc are located.
UNIX and Linux Installation Instructions
Download the tar file comsol32a_hotfix1.tar. Connect to the COMSOL installation directory, for example, /usr/local/comsol32a (type cd /usr/local/comsol32a). Type
tar xf [download file path]/comsol32a_hotfix1.tar
to apply the hotfix.
Mac OS X Installation Instructions
Mount the downloaded disk image by double-clicking it. Run the AppleScript
"COMSOL 3.2 Installer". It will ask you to locate your COMSOL installation
folder, for example, "Macintosh HD:Applications:COMSOL32". This is the folder
where the file licenseinfo.ini and the directories multiphysics and doc are located.
Check the Installation
Do the following to check that the installation is complete:
- Start COMSOL Multiphysics.
- On the Help menu, click About COMSOL Multiphysics.
- Check that the version number is 3.2.0.301 (If the installation did not finish correctly, the version number is 3.2.0.300).
