In this talk, Peter Lyu will discuss how engineers and scientists are overcoming the constraints of traditional engineering resources and processes by deploying multiphysics simulations and applications to the cloud. This will be followed by a demo of running COMSOL® using cloud HPC.

Mao Mao
COMSOL, Inc.
Mao Mao is a technical sales engineer who joined COMSOL in 2015. Mao received his PhD in mechanical engineering from Northwestern University. His research focuses on the mathematical modeling of electroosmotic flow in a nanopore system. Mao also holds a bachelor's degree in thermal science from USTC, China.
Akhilesh Sasankan
COMSOL, Inc.
Akhilesh Sasankan is a technical sales engineer at COMSOL. Before starting at COMSOL, he received master's in mechanical engineering from Arizona State University. Akhilesh's areas of interests include CFD and high-performance computing.
Aline Tomasian
COMSOL, Inc.
Aline Tomasian is an applications engineer at COMSOL, specializing in high- and low-frequency electromagnetics. She holds a BS in physics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Siva Sashank Tholeti
COMSOL, Inc.
Siva Sashank Tholeti is an applications engineer at COMSOL. He received his PhD in aeronautics and astronautics from Purdue University. His areas of interest include CFD, plasma-enhanced aerodynamics, plasma physics, propulsion, and multiphysics problems.

Vlad Bluvshtein
Minnetronix Medical
Vlad Bluvshtein is the principal development engineer at Minnetronix Medical. He has a technical background in medical devices, embedded software, mixed-signal circuit design, algorithm development, and multiphysics analysis. Vlad holds a master’s degree focused on RF design and signal processing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Peter Lyu
Rescale
Peter Lyu leads the solutions engineering team at Rescale. He manages technical presales and solutions architecture in North America. His team helps engineers and scientists accelerate their simulations by leveraging the largest and most secure global HPC network on Rescale. Peter received his master's and PhD degrees in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan, where he worked on several NASA and Boeing projects on aircraft design and the multidisciplinary design optimization of a blended-wing-body aircraft. Prior to joining Rescale, he led the CFD applications team at COMSOL, specializing in fluid flow, heat transfer, and chemical reaction simulations and optimization.
