Acoustics Lecture Series: Session 3

July 27, 202011:00 AM - 12:00 PM EDT

Back to Events Calendar

In session 3 of this continuing acoustics lecture series, we will work through the modeling steps and usage of the COMSOL® software for acoustics and vibrations analysis with the Acoustics Module. This lecture series builds upon the previously presented session and continues to look into topics relevant for pressure acoustics modeling. The emphasis of this lecture series session will be on resolving time-dependent waves and setting up perfectly matched layers (PMLs) for transient acoustics analysis using the finite element method, as well as solving large transient pressure acoustics models using the time-explicit discontinuous Galerkin method.

The series of 3 1-hour parts will start on Monday, July 27, at 11 a.m. EDT and run through Friday, July 31, at the same time every other day.
