Fluid-structure interaction (FSI) is one of the most common phenomena in science and engineering. In this webinar, we demonstrate the use of the COMSOL Multiphysics® software for modeling FSI. We go over different possible modeling scenarios for FSI, including one-way coupling, two-way coupling at steady state, and two-way coupling with full dynamic effects. These cases are demonstrated and discussed for laminar and turbulent flow as well as two-phase flow.

COMSOL AB Ed Fontes is the chief technology officer at COMSOL. He has been with COMSOL since 1999, and was previously the lead developer for the CFD, heat transfer, and chemical engineering products. He received his PhD in chemical engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm.
