diffusive interface in sheath flow microfluidics

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello everyone,
I am wondering if anyone has experience simulating a laminar liquid-liquid sheath-flow in which two different miscible liquids are used. Since there is no strict interface how can one apply interface boundary conditions? Or can one simulate the mixing between the two sheath-flow by applying functions for the diffusion coefficient (which depends on the ratio of mixing between the sheath-flow) and viscosity and use a one-phase system instead. One could for example think of a laminar sheath-flow of alcohol and water. Thank you for any information for similar systems that have been solved with COMSOL in the past.
