The Basics of Parameter Estimation with COMSOL Multiphysics®
The accuracy of a simulation is only as good as the data upon which it is based. Therefore, it is common to calibrate models by combining experimental data with parameter estimation. In this webinar, we will provide an 18-minute introduction to using the COMSOL Multiphysics® software and its add-on Optimization Module for parameter, shape, and topology optimization. In addition, we will cover application areas where it is beneficial to use the software's optimization solvers for parameter estimation.
The webinar will conclude with a live demonstration of parameter estimation where we will estimate the Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio based on a tensile test.
