magnetic flux density (B) and magnetic field (H) in a simple solenoid

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I found some strange results using the magnetic field solution in a complex geometry, so I have tried simple ones, as described below.

Considering the interior of a solenoid with a linearized soft ferromagnetic material (say relative permeability 1000), the solution for the magnetic field H inside the solenoid is different from the obtained with the soft ferromagnetic material replaced by air. I was expecting the same results for the magnetic field H. What may be wrong?

Thanking in advance.
