Selecting faces with specific coordinates automatically

I simulate diffusion through porous layers. Very simple with two opposite boundaries and two different concentrations.

My problem is that the meshing (imported from another program) is very complex and it's very hard to see in Comsol which face in the geometry actually belongs to which boundary. Or to any boundary at all. So the process of allocating them is very tedious and error prone. Is there a possibility in Comsol to select faces by checking their coordinates? So e.g. select all faces with the x-coordinate of 0. Any other ideas? Thanks!

In v4.2 you have the new "box selection" approach, check the new features under "Definitions - Selections"

In anycase, importing meshed geometry in COMSOL is rather tricky, as in COMSOL you apply first physics to the geometry, and the meshing is done thereafter.
When you import a mesh, you need to redefine a "geoemtry" from it first. This is a particularity of the "Geometry modelling approach" used by COMSOL and only a few newer FEM tools
