Criteria for Extracting a 2D Slice Data from a 3D model

What is COMSOL's criteria when I extract slice data from a 3D gridded model? Is it simply finding the nearest node points? If so, is it only including node points immediately adjacent to the slice plane, or is there a tolerance where a node point has to be within a certain distance of the slice plane?

Hi
check the node settings, it uses interpolation from closest elements, you can play with eome of theparameters such as polynomial order etc, check the doc

Good luck
