I think that you should consider using file sharing tools such as Dropbox. There's a preference where you can choose between optimizing for file size and speed (when saving), see the attached screenshot.

It is not uncommon for a COMSOL model file to be too large to e-mail as an attachment. Most e-mail services impose limitations on the e-mail size, and for good reason.

A COMSOL model file is already essentially fully compressed. Consider that a zip operator can be used to view the contents of the .mph file. The COMSOL model file seems to be essentially equivalent to a zip file in that context.

I have found the best way to share a large COMSOL model file is to utilize a cloud service such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Onedrive, Backblaze, etc. The user can upload the file to their cloud area, and obtain a link to the file, then e-mail the link to whom you want to share the file with. The link is only a few characters compared to the much larger size of the file itself. Most of the services also allow you to set permissions of who can view and download the file, as well as expiration dates for the link.

This prevents the e-mail service, and your computer, from getting bogged down with file transfers.

Hope this helps, and good luck !
