Pure Neumann problem in corrosion modeling

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi everyone,

In modeling corrosion for reinforced concrete you shjoul use Butler Volmer boundary conditions on steel which are condition i=f(E) where i is the current density and E the potential. This is the only boundary condition excpet current flow equal 0 on the boundary of the geometry. This is a pure Neumann problem as no boundary condition on the potentiel E are applied and so it has an infinity set of solutions. However Comsol find an unique solution. How does Comsol manage to solve this ?
