Hello! I am simulating the effect of space charge distribution on a 2D electrostatic field in COMSOL. I have input the space charge density as an interpolation function (x, y, ρ) into COMSOL and used this interpolation function in the space charge density term ▽·D=ρ in the electrostatics module. However, no matter how much I change the value of the space charge density, it does not seem to affect the distribution of the electric field intensity. It appears that the calculation is still based on the Laplace equation rather than the Poisson equation. The interpolation function I entered is effective in the result plot of the space charge, but it does not seem to be involved in the calculation.
