Using COMSOL Multiphysics® to Teach Acoustical Design

In this archived webinar, learn about teaching acoustical design using the COMSOL Multiphysics® software.

Dr. Matthew Wright of the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research, University of Southampton, shares his experience using simulation to teach students how to optimize the shape of a horn. The students create a digital prototype with COMSOL Multiphysics®, fabricate the horn with 3D printing, and then use an anechoic chamber to measure its performance. In addition, postprocessing enables the students to visualize the physics of sound and vibration.
