Lumped Thermoelectric Module with PID control

Application ID: 102421

Thermoelectric elements are often used to cool or heat electronic components to a desired temperature. In such simulations, you are typically not interested in the behavior of the thermoelectric element itself but want to use its performance characteristics to model the overall response of the system. This model illustrates how to setup a lumped thermal system containing a thermoelectric element and computes the nonisothermal flow around its heat sink. The current in the thermoelectric element is controlled using the PID controller add-in to stabilize the temperature to a defined value.
