COMSOL model file cleanup script
James D Freels, ORNL (retired) and Adjunct Faculty with The University of Tennessee/Knoxville
Email:
First a definition of cleanup: remove the mesh builds, solutions, and compact the history of a COMSOL model file.
I have found that getting in the COMSOL GUI each time I need to clean up the mph model files is sometimes inconvenient. Therefore, I wrote a little bash script to do this from the command line using the COMSOL batch option. I have attached the script for general use by the COMSOL user community.
Happy cleaning !

That's a really great little trick! As long as we have the names and locations of historical mph files, we can directly get it done in a batch processing script. I also need a function that can automatically search for mph historical files and their locations, and I'll work on implementing that. |
