Modeling sphincter

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi!

My name is Grant and I am curious to know if COMSOL can model something similar to a sphincter. This would be, in essence--and quite crudely put, a plate with a hole that varies in diameter through which fluid flows.

I know that COMSOL can handle moving domains such as a particle in free-fall, but this problem represents a geometry deforming in a user-defined way (not due to fluid forces). Would a parametric sweep be able to compensate for such geometric changes?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Grant
