Predefined Iterative Solver Suggestions

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

One of the highlights of new COMSOL release is Predefined Iterative Solver Suggestions.
However, when I create my model in COMSOL V.5.3 and ran it for the first time. In the solver configuration, I did not see the "suggested iterative solver". I have attached my model.

Could anyone help and let me know what is the reason for this?

Thanks,
Hamed

Hi,

The iterative solver suggestions are only generated for 3D problems. In most cases, 2D or 2D axisymmetric problems will fit in the memory even with a direct solver. But you can generate a simple cube in 3D with the same physics, and check what the solver suggestions would look like.

Henrik
