Subdividing a domain

Hello everybody!

I have been working with COMSOL 4.0a for some days and I have a newbie question. I was wondering if you could help me. My question is: how can I subdivide a domain in 3D? I think I have managed to do it by defining a workplane (and a plane in 2D inside the workplane) that intersects the domain. Is that the right way to do it?

And how can I subdivide domains in 2D?

Thanks a lot.

Best regards,
Salva
