Very Thin Piezoelectric Layer Modelling

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I try to model a structure with a piezoelectric layer of just a view nm. Obviously it is only possible to add the "piezoelectric material" node to the structural mechanics interface. I tried it with the "membrane" and the "shell" feature, but there isn´t the "piezoelectric material" node available. Due to the high aspect ratio of the whole structure compared to the PE layer, the layer is neither visible nor selectable for further proceedings. A reduction by using symmetry is not possible too. Has anybody an idea to handle this problem or is it unsolvable?

Thanks for any comment,

Sven
