Hi all:
I am a beginner in comsol. I have tried to replicate the following tutorial. I am using 3.5 version.
www.comsol.com/showroom/documentation/model/1994/
But I am always stuck in the solution step. It is good until I got the initial value at time 6e-4. But after I use this initial solution to solve the subsequent ,i.e (0, 0.5e-2, 0.08)
There is always problem. Here is error message:
Time-dependent solver/BDF
Number of degrees of freedom solved for: 142787
Nonsymmetric matrix found.
Step Time Stepsize Res Jac Sol Order Tfail NLfail
0 0 out 1 2 0 0

Error:
Failed to find consistent initial values.
Out_of_memory_in_Jacobian_computation
Last time step is not converged.
Anyone can help me with this? thanks a lot

I was having the same error :-) Changed the mesh size..Now I following error.
It may help you though.

Time-dependent solver (BDF)
Number of degrees of freedom solved for: 167464.
Nonsymmetric matrix found.
Step Time Stepsize Res Jac Sol Order Tfail NLfail
0 0 out 25 6 25 0
Solution time: 28 s.
