Deformation of liquid droplet

Also, I want to track the contact angle between liquid and solid surface, but I don't know how. Should I set up some new geometry?

I can solve the problem when the droplet is falling from a few millimeter above the surface.
I also what to assign an initial velocity of the droplet but I couldn't can anyone help?

I have the exact same problem. I believe it has to be due to mesh and boundary conditions. I am trying to play with mesh and also implement different BCs.
If you have also found any way to get rid of this problem, I appreciate if you could share it with me.

if you change the material you need to check both fluid nodes to set the right material to fluid1, as well as the interface to gas/liquide water air.
Furthermore, with the buble in contact with a surface, and with weting conditions, you have capilary forces that might be greater than the gravity forces, so I would recommend to leave the drop fully "flaoting" not initially in contact with any surface.
and I would use a p=0 point in one of the corner of the outer geometry, not attached to the initial droplet position
By the way, why not set wetting to all walls (wall1, and disable wall2&3) this works for me
Then your mesh is rather coarse, for a thin viscuouity fluid such as air this might be an issue

I'm also trying to set up a similar problem to the following papers:

I'm new to COMSOL and have a trial of 4.4 for another week, I'd like to see if I can get the problem set up before I buy the software. Can anyone give any advice as to how I can set up a droplet impacting a solid surface in COMSOL?
