Birefringence calculation

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

Does anyone knows how can I get the Birefringence in an optical fiber?

I have seen lots of threads about this topic, and nobody says nothing about this.

Well the comsol already provides the neff, in a step index fiber, but to calculate B it is necessary to know the neff in the fast and slow axis.

If anyone knows something about this, please let me know.

best regards
