CFD or Molecular Flow Module?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello all,

I am trying to simulate a gas flowing into my domain via two inlets. In the actual experiment, the domain is inside a vacuum chamber where the ambient pressure is on the mTorr (i.e., essentially vacuum or 0 Pa) level.

Thus:

1) If I want to simulate how the gas flows into the domain ONLY, should I use the "CFD" or the "Molecular Flow" module?

2) Should I specify "Air" as the material in the domain but change the density and viscosity to "0" and specify the gas as the material at the inlets? If not, what is the correct way to simulate essentially vacuum in the domain except for at the inlets?

Thanks everyone!
