Modeling Plasmas in COMSOL Multiphysics®

In this archived webinar, Jeff Crompton and Luke Gritter of AltaSim Technologies discuss modeling plasmas with the COMSOL Multiphysics® software and the Plasma Module.

Plasma modeling is useful in a variety of industries, such as electronics manufacturing and lasers, because of the unique electrical, chemical, thermal, and radiative properties of plasmas. However, the complexity of plasma physics presents challenges for those developing plasma-based technologies. One option is using computational models, which enable us to predict plasma dynamics; quantify the effects of design changes; and better understand plasma deposition rates, breakdown potential, and device design.

In this webinar, learn about how plasmas can be successfully studied with COMSOL Multiphysics®. We will also discuss the example of modeling a microscale DC plasma torch.
