Laser cladding

I have been thinking of ways to simulate the laser cladding process. The establishment of the cladding layer is a difficulty.
I don't know what method should be used to establish that the powder melts with the heating of the Gaussian laser heat source and solidifies as the solidity decreases, and the establishment of the laser heat source is also very confusing to me. I have been exploring heat transfer and mass transfer simulations in molten pools.
