Out of memory geometry processing

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi.

I am currently testing patient data on three different models which means I have about 60 models and still need to make 30 more!

I am getting the error "Out of memory geometry processing" when I import the DXF file in COMSOL.

Help please?

Thanks, Smita

Hi

DXF data is often very verboose and might include small gaps that COMSOl attempts to correct and this can take ages, for complex models. This is mainly due to the lack of a good norm for DXF files and not really a weakness of COMSOL.

There might be some settings in your DXF generator to change. Have you tried to read it in a CAD tools such as SolidWorks ?
