Modeling Optics and Photonics in COMSOL® - Archived
The manipulation of light in the fields of optics and photonics is an area of great interest and development. Components such as optical waveguides, filters, couplers, and photonic crystals are helping to harness the flow of light and allowing for the development of new devices for the transmission of information. The COMSOL Multiphysics® software provides functionality for modeling and optimizing these and other key optical components.
In this webinar, we will discuss the Wave Optics Module, which is an add-on to COMSOL Multiphysics® that includes specialized features for solving for the propagation of fields in optical media. We will review the analyses and features that allow for the simulation and refinement of a variety of optical structures. The capabilities will also be highlighted in the live build of an example model.
