Fatigue damage is one of the main modes of structural failure in automobiles. Simulation can help to accurately predict the fatigue life of the vehicle and optimize structures to extend vehicle life while reducing the need for physical prototyping. In addition, certain types of fatigue, such as thermomechanical and elastoplastic fatigue, involve a number of different physics phenomena. Multiphysics simulation allows for coupling structural analysis and fatigue with heat transfer, acoustics, and electromagnetics to accurately model such phenomena.

If you would like to learn how to model the fatigue and durability of automotive components, join us for this live webinar.

We will discuss: * Thermomechanical fatigue in electronic components * Fatigue life prediction of connecting rods in an internal combustion (IC) engine * Predicting the durability of engine mounts * Identifying load cycles to determine the fatigue model selection for different applications * Fatigue failure caused by harmonic vibration and random vibration in automotive components
