COMSOL Multiphysics® version 6.1 introduces new modeling and simulation capabilities to the CFD Module. The module now includes detached eddy simulation (DES), which combines the accuracy of large eddy simulation (LES) with the computational efficiency of Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) turbulence models. Moreover, new, extended versions of thermal wall functions take viscous dissipation into account and give excellent agreement with the more computationally intensive wall-resolved turbulence models. There is also new functionality for modeling gas-phase reactions; a new user interface for turbulent flow in porous media, coupled with flow in open media; and much more!
Join us in this webinar to learn more about the new version of the CFD Module and see demonstrations within the software.
